Field Log

Maintenance logged on the truck, reviewed in the office.

Field Log is WellsManager's mobile portal for vendors and pumpers. They pick the well or tank, describe the inspection or repair, add parts and photos, and the record lands where office staff and the cost book can see it.

Inspections, repairs, and workovers

Every entry has a maintenance type, a description, the date performed, and the asset it was done on. Vendors can revise their own submissions, and office staff see the full history on the well.

→ Typed maintenance records
→ Material lines with parts
→ Revisions kept, not overwritten

Photos and attachments

Attach photos and files to a maintenance record from the field. Files are served through private, ownership-checked links, never public URLs.

→ Photos from the phone
→ Attachments on the record
→ Private file links

From work ticket to well cost

Book the vendor invoice as a well cost with the maintenance record attached, so a partner asking what a workover cost gets one well page, not an afternoon of invoices.

→ Vendor directory
→ Invoice number and date on the cost
→ Workover cost report

Reminders and the AI connector

Set notification rules for a field or well on a schedule, by email or in the app. Field staff can also log maintenance through Claude in plain English, with a confirmation before anything is written.

→ Scheduled notifications
→ Log maintenance over MCP
→ Vendor role limits respected
What it is not

Field Log is not a production gauging app and not a refinery CMMS. There are no gauge sheets, no SCADA tags, and no preventive-maintenance engineering. It is the work ticket for a small operator's wells and tanks.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Do vendors need an account?

Yes. Vendors get a limited role that lets them log and revise their own field submissions and nothing else.

Does it work on a phone?

Field Log is built for phones. There is no separate app to install; vendors sign in from the browser on site.

Can I attach the invoice?

Yes. Book the invoice as a well cost with the vendor, invoice number, and date, and link it to the maintenance record.

What is a maintenance type?

A fixed list of types (inspections, repairs, workovers, and more) that keeps records consistent across vendors so reports and history line up.
