Field work & maintenance
Vendors and ops log inspections, repairs, and workovers from phones. Photos, parts, and revisions land in the same record office staff review.
WellsManager
One place for field maintenance, sales and well costs, and investor payments with a lease operating statement — and an AI connector that reads all of it. Built and owned by WellsManager LLC.
Not a production gauging app. We run the work tickets, the cost book, and the investor check.
Modules operators actually use for field maintenance, revenue and costs, and investor distributions. Not a generic ERP with oil labels, and not a gauge-sheet replacement.
Vendors and ops log inspections, repairs, and workovers from phones. Photos, parts, and revisions land in the same record office staff review.
Sales by tank, well costs line by line, investor payments, and a lease operating statement, with live commodity prices in the header.
Model fields, wells, tanks, and working-interest partners the way your lease book already works, with compliance docs that alert before they expire and notes on every record.
Connect Claude to WellsManager over MCP and ask questions, log field work, or upload documents in plain English. Included in every paid plan.
Six problems independent oil and gas operators describe over and over, and the part of WellsManager that closes each one. If none of these sound like your week, we are probably not the right software.
Work gets done in the field and nobody writes it down.
Vendors and pumpers open Field Log on the truck, pick the well or tank, describe the repair, and attach photos. The submission lands in the same maintenance record your office staff review, so the work ticket exists before the invoice does.
Field Log
Invoices arrive months later and nobody can tie them to a well.
Well costs are entered line by line with the vendor, the maintenance record, and the material lines attached. When a partner asks what a workover cost, the answer is one well page, not an afternoon in the filing cabinet.
Well costs
An investor asks what they are owed and it takes a week of spreadsheets.
Stakes, scheduled distributions, and payment history live against each investor and field. Close the period, pull the lease operating statement, and send the check with the arithmetic already shown.
Investor distributions
Permits and bonds expire before anyone notices.
Attach RRC permits, leases, bonds, and certifications to the field, well, or tank they cover. A banner surfaces anything inside 30 days, and files are served through a private, ownership-checked route instead of a guessable public link.
Compliance documents
The real history is in five spreadsheets, three inboxes, and one guy’s truck.
Timestamped notes attach to fields, tanks, wells, investors, and vendors, with one directory that reads across all of them. When the person who knew the lease leaves, the context stays.
Notes
Getting a number out means logging in and clicking through six screens.
Connect Claude to your operation and ask in plain English. It reads your wells, sales, costs, and compliance, logs maintenance, and uploads documents against the same permissions your staff have.
AI connector
Want the detail behind each of these? Read what every WellsManager module does, see how the AI connector reads your records, or get a price for your operation.
WellsManager ships a Model Context Protocol server, so an AI client works directly against your live records instead of a stale export. Ask what a workover cost, log a pump repair from a text message, or upload a permit — while the same tenant scoping and role limits your staff have stay in force.
WellsManager runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Connect Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or claude.ai on the web through OAuth, and your AI client reads and updates real records — no export, no copy and paste.
Look up wells, sales, costs, stakes, and expiring permits; create fields, tanks, vendors, sales, and costs; log field maintenance and upload compliance documents, well photos, and attachments. Every change asks you to confirm first, and no delete tool is exposed at all.
The connector authenticates as you. It sees exactly the company and the records your role already allows in the browser, so a field vendor connecting an AI client still only reaches their own submissions.
A short written read on what changed across production, revenue, and field activity, plus per-investor briefs before you pick up the phone. Written from your data, not a generic template.
The AI connector is not an upsell. Any active WellsManager subscription can connect a client from Settings in a couple of minutes. The separate AI Operations add-on covers the voice agent, which is still in development.
A mobile portal for vendors and ops to log maintenance on wells and tanks (inspections, repairs, workovers) with photos and parts. It is not a production gauging or gauge-sheet app.
Independent operators who need one place for assets, field maintenance, sales and well costs, and investor distributions with a lease operating statement.
Teams that only need daily production gauging from pumpers, or a full upstream ERP with joint interest billing and land administration. We focus on work tickets, the cost book, and investor payouts.
No. Keep your gauging, SCADA, or production tools for volumes. WellsManager runs maintenance, money, and investor checks alongside them.
Yes. WellsManager exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, so Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and claude.ai on the web can read and update your records over OAuth or a personal access token. It is included in every paid plan at no extra charge, mutations require your confirmation in the client, and no delete tools are exposed.
No. Every record is scoped to your company, documents are served through a private route that re-checks ownership on each request, and an AI client authenticates as you and sees only what your role already allows.
Inside the app. Sign in and open Settings to see module-by-module status for what is live, in development, and on the roadmap. We moved it out of the marketing site so it stays a working document for customers.
